Guiding Star is a mission of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church.  We provide exceptional child development services in a safe, nurturing, Christian environment. We build and maintain strong relationships with our families, staff, and community partners.   

Safety is essential!  Our entrance is locked and secured at all times.  Our staff must pass a thorough (triple layer) background check.  We implement health and safety policies and procedures that are current and in line with state licensing regulations.

Nurturing and respecting the uniqueness of each child is key.  Our teachers are trained to observe each child and allow that information to guide their lesson plan selections and daily hands-on activities.  We value our confident, capable little learners!

Center management and classroom activities are Christ-centered!  Staff will share the good news of Jesus with the children through bible stories, Christian songs, and most importantly through their actions.   Each child will know that "God loves me!".

Relationships are key to the success of Guiding Star.  We have an "open door" policy for our families.  There are many opportunities for parental involvement at our center.  We also seek chances to partner with and promote the positive in our community. 

We believe that children learn best through play!  It is their natural method of exploration and self discovery.  Our highly trained teachers provide daily "hands-on" developmentally appropriate activities and experiences that are based upon the interests of the children.  As a result, the learning process is meaningful, tangible, and most importantly enjoyable.  A life long love of learning is developed!  We believe this lays the foundation for each child's academic success.
